The Brazilian data center market is experiencing significant shifts driven by evolving customer behaviors and the broader digital transformation landscape. These changes are creating new consumption needs and reshaping the dynamics across the data center value chain, from initial planning to service delivery.

A major behavioral shift is the accelerating adoption of cloud computing by businesses and government entities. This move away from traditional on-premises IT infrastructure towards Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS) directly impacts the demand for data center services. It fuels the need for large-scale, wholesale colocation facilities primarily utilized by hyperscale cloud providers, as well as increasing the consumption of cloud services directly by end-users. This changes the relationship in the Data Center Services step, strengthening ties with hyperscalers as major clients and evolving relationships with enterprises towards cloud and managed service models.

The rapid integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) workloads represents another critical behavior change. It influences Construction and Infrastructure Deployment to incorporate sustainable building practices and materials. In Operations and Management, it drives the need for advanced energy management tools and reporting. This creates an emerging consumption need for sustainable data center solutions and greater transparency on environmental impact.

These behavior changes collectively highlight emerging consumption needs for specialized, scalable, and sustainable data center infrastructure and services that can support the demands of cloud computing, AI, 5G, and ongoing digitalization. The value chain must adapt to provide high-density computing environments, distributed edge capabilities, enhanced connectivity, and a strong commitment to environmental responsibility.
